The Tahta Center in Sohag Governorate witnessed a tragic incident, after a 4-year-old child drowned in the eastern Al-Khazandariya Canal, and was transported to Tahta General Hospital, dead.

Major General Dr. Hassan Abdel Aziz, Director of Sohag Security, received a notification from the warden of the Tahta Police Station, stating that the child, Ahmed H. H., 4 years old, had arrived at Tahta General Hospital, dead, after being exposed to a case of drowning.
Immediately, the security services moved to the scene of the incident, and upon examination it was found that the child had fallen into the Al-Khazandariyah Canal east of the Center District, which led to his drowning and death. The body was recovered and transferred to the hospital at the disposal of the investigating authorities.
The necessary report on the incident was prepared, and the investigating authorities were notified to initiate investigations.
