A massive campaign from the Qalyubia Supply Directorate was able to seize 3.3 tons of subsidized local flour with 87.5% extraction, and 80 kilograms of fine bran inside an unlicensed warehouse in the Mansheyet Al-Nour area in Benha, before they were smuggled to the black market.
This campaign came in implementation of the directives of Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Engineer Ayman Attia, Governor of Qalyubia, to tighten control over markets and confront any attempts to steal subsidies or manipulate food supplies.
The Qalyubia Supply Directorate launched the surprise campaign today, Sunday, November 30, 2025, headed by Dr. Tamer Salah Mokhtar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in the governorate. During the passage, 66 bags of subsidized flour packed in green bags were seized inside an unlicensed warehouse equipped with a sieve, in preparation for re-sorting the flour and selling it illegally.
The seized items were seized and delivered to Banha Mill, and a misdemeanor report was issued regarding incident No. 8323 of 2025 Banha misdemeanors.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry confirmed that the Supply Directorate is working around the clock to control markets and prevent any practices that would harm the rights of citizens, explaining that the Ministry is keen to deliver support to those who deserve it and achieve social justice.
He stressed that violators would not be tolerated, stressing that all incidents would be referred to the Public Prosecution, in implementation of the directives of the political leadership to establish a disciplined commercial environment that protects the consumer and supports honest merchants.
