Dr. Eid Ali Khalifa, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, said In AssiutThe Endowments Directorate held a number of jurisprudential scholarly councils in all its departments, as part of its continuing efforts to spread moderate legal science and consolidate a sound understanding of issues of jurisprudence and worship.

21 jurisprudential councils were held on the provisions of ablution

These councils target mosque-goers and students of knowledge, as they are held in major mosques in the form of organized scientific sessions that combine jurisprudential investigation and facilitation in presentation.

She explained that these councils come in implementation of the directives of Dr. Osama Al-Sayed Al-Azhari, Minister of Endowments, the supervision of Sheikh Muhammad Abdul Latif Mahmoud, Director of Da’wah, and the follow-up of Sheikh Ahmed Kamal Ali, Head of the Religious Guidance Department.

He pointed out that 21 jurisprudential councils were held in various departments, during which scholars addressed delicate issues in the jurisprudence of worship, and clarified the subtle differences between the issues. The scholars based their explanations on reliable jurisprudential sources, including: Noor Al-Idah, Fath Al-Qarib Al-Mujib, and Al-Durar Al-Bahiyya.

The councils were distinguished by their comprehensive explanation, linking the rulings to their legal evidence, and answering the questions of the attendees, in a way that contributes to raising jurisprudential awareness, correcting concepts, and enhancing the practical understanding of the rulings on purity, as they are an essential entry point for the validity of prayer and other acts of worship.

The councils’ activities continue from Sunday until Thursday, and are supervised by an elite group of master’s and doctorate holders and distinguished imams from the Ministry of Endowments, within the framework of the directorate’s keenness to combine scientific originality and advocacy competence.

The scholars were keen to simplify the accurate jurisprudential information with good presentation, which pleased the mosque-goers who praised the level of the lecturers scientifically, morally and in advocacy, praying to God Almighty for continued success and payment.

He stressed the continuation of holding jurisprudence councils and intensifying lessons related to purity and worship during the next stage, in order to enhance the dissemination of Islamic knowledge and serve students of knowledge and mosque-goers, in a way that contributes to building enlightened religious awareness in all departments.
