Today.. the second trial session of a father on charges of assaulting his daughter, with the participation of his friend in the lake
The last session, on December 7, witnessed a fiery plea by the representative of the Public Prosecution, Counselor Bahaa Abu Muhammad, head of the Damanhour Public Prosecution, who demanded the maximum penalty imposed on the defendants in the case. The court decided to postpone the case to today’s session for pleading.
The city of Damanhour, the capital of Beheira Governorate, witnessed an unfortunate incident, after a street vendor and his friend sexually assaulted his 8-year-old daughter in her room, because the first defendant, “her father,” was responsible for raising her after separating from her mother.
The events date back to last August, when the security services of the Beheira Security Directorate received a notification from the Damanhour Police Department, from Doaa A.M., 26 years old, resident of Alexandria Governorate, stating that her ex-husband, Ramadan M.A.L., 27 years old, a street vendor, resident of Damanhour, and his friend, Ahmed M.A., 21 years old, had assaulted their daughter, F.R.M., 8 years old, and took advantage of the child’s presence inside the building. She was alone in her room and the father violated her honor. Then the second defendant took the child to a deserted place outside the house and forcefully violated her honor.
The officers of the Damanhour police station were able to arrest the two defendants, and by presenting them to the child, she decided that they had sexually assaulted her by force. She decided that while she was sleeping in one of the rooms with her father, she was surprised by him assaulting her and violating her honor by force. On the second day, the second defendant took her with her under the pretext of buying some of her father’s needs, and he assaulted her and violated her honor behind an electrical transformer.
