The father of the young man who was assaulted said: He was forced to wear women’s clothing in a village Assem died in Banha, Qalyubia Governorate. He said he was surprised when about 15 people entered asking about his son Islam at eight o’clock in the morning.
The young man’s father added, in exclusive statements to Cairo 24, that his son was not at home, so he called his married daughters, and one of them told him that the accused’s daughter was with Islam because they were in a romantic relationship, and that the girl’s father asked for Islam’s return after he agreed to marry her.
The young man’s father indicated that when his son returned home, he was surprised by a group of people carrying white weapons, and they beat and humiliated him, going so far as to light cigarettes on him, stressing that he was unable to defend him due to his illness and health condition.
A video clip circulated on Facebook showed a group of people forcing a young man to wear a dance suit and stand on top of a chair in a scene that sparked dissatisfaction and anger among social media users, before beating him and mocking him in front of the people.
After monitoring the video, the security services of the Qalyubia Security Directorate intensified their efforts to uncover the circumstances of the incident, and the accused were identified and arrested.
When they were confronted, they admitted to committing the incident, justifying their action because the victim had an emotional relationship with one of them’s daughter and fled with her. The necessary legal measures were taken against the accused, a report was drawn up regarding the incident, and the investigating authorities were notified to initiate investigations.
