Vivo quietly announced the new Y31d phone, which shares some features with the Y31 and Y31 Pro, but comes with important differences. The phone relies on the Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor that supports fourth-generation networks only, and it also gets a larger battery with a capacity of 7200 mAh compared to the 6500 mAh battery in other versions.

The phone is available in Glow White and Starlight Gray, with dimensions of 166.6 x 78.4 x 8.39 mm, while the thickness reaches 8.49 mm in the white version, and it weighs 219 grams. The device has an IP69+ rating for water and dust resistance, ensuring protection from splashes, rain, and high-pressure water sprays, in addition to submersion to a depth of 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.

Despite the relatively slim design, the vivo Y31d includes a huge BlueVolt battery with a capacity of 7200 mAh, which is enough to run MOBA games for more than 13 hours, use navigation for more than 14 hours, or watch video for approximately 45 hours continuously.

The phone supports 44-watt fast charging, so the battery can be charged from 1% to 50% within 43 minutes, in addition to providing Bypass Charging mode to power the phone directly from the charger while playing. The company also indicates that the battery life extends up to 6 years of use.

The phone relies on a body made of composite plastic materials, with a metal frame for the rear camera unit. The rear system includes a 50-megapixel main camera with an f/2.0 lens aperture, along with a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor, while the front camera comes with an 8-megapixel resolution and an f/2.0 lens aperture.

On the front end, there is a 6.75-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 720 x 1570 pixels, with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a brightness of up to 1250 nits. The fingerprint sensor is located on the side.

In terms of connectivity, the phone supports two nano-SIM cards, along with dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB 2.0 port. On the other hand, there is no NFC support, as well as a 3.5 mm wired headphones port, but the phone compensates for this with stereo speakers with a volume boost of up to 400%.

The Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor comes with 6 or 8 GB LPDDR4X random access memory options, and 128 or 256 GB UFS 2.2 internal storage capacity. The phone runs Android 16 with the OriginOS 6 interface straight out of the box.

So far, vivo has not revealed the official price, but the phone has already become available on the company’s official websites in Cambodia and Vietnam.
