Last week, Samsung announced its new phone, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, and immediately afterwards it went on sale in South Korea today.
The phone came at a price of KRW3,590,400, which is equivalent to about $2,428 at the current exchange rate. Despite the high price and being an early generation, the Galaxy Z TriFold sold out within minutes in all stores that launched it.
People lined up in long lines in front of some Samsung stores in South Korea since the morning hours, waiting for an opportunity to buy the triple foldable phone.

Samsung did not reveal the number of units sold today, but it opened registration on its website in South Korea to send notification as soon as a new batch of the phone is available.
The Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold comes in Crafted Black only, in one 16GB and 512GB variant. Samsung confirmed that the phone’s launch will later expand to include China, Taiwan, Singapore, the Emirates, and the United States, but so far there are no specific dates for its arrival in these markets.
