Shokz announced its new OpenFit Air wireless headphones during CES 2026 in Las Vegas on January 5, 2026, which are open-ear headphones that are an update to the OpenFit series with improvements in noise cancellation without blocking the ear.

OpenFit Air features DirectPitch technology that delivers clear sound with deeper bass, with active noise cancellation that reduces ambient noise by up to 96% in low frequencies, while maintaining awareness of the surrounding environment for safety during sports or street walking. The headphones use 18 x 11 mm dynamic drivers, support Bluetooth 5.2, and a battery that lasts up to 6 hours of continuous playback, and 28 hours with the charging case.

Key features include 4-mic call noise cancellation with AI, IP54 water and sweat resistance, and a lightweight design (8.9g per earbud) with flexible hooks for stability on the move. The device supports the Shokz application to customize settings and equalizer.

The OpenFit Air is priced at $119, down from the previous OpenFit Pro ($179), and will be available in the first quarter of 2026 in black, beige and pink.

In hands-on testing, the headphones performed well at canceling out wind noise and ambient conversations, while still keeping outside sounds such as traffic audible, making them ideal for athletes and users in crowded spaces.

They are promoted as a comfortable alternative to traditional in-ear headphones, with an emphasis on safety and long-lasting comfort.
