Samsung has launched the fifth beta of One UI 8.5, bringing the February Android security patch along with an updated version of Bixby. The company officially revealed the details of the developed assistant, which it now describes as an “interactive device agent” based on natural conversation.
In an official press release, Samsung reviewed the most prominent new features that Bixby will have within One UI 8.5, which is expected to be officially launched in conjunction with the Galaxy S26 series on February 25.
The updated Bixby supports controlling and managing device settings using natural language. For example, the user can request to prevent the screen from turning off while looking at it, so that the assistant will automatically activate the option to “keep the screen on while viewing” without the need to manually search within the settings.

Furthermore, Bixby provides instant web search, allowing updated and up-to-date results to be displayed directly within its interface, to facilitate access to information without leaving the app.
Users of the latest beta version, One UI 8.5 Beta 5, can experience the new Bixby capabilities starting now. However, the feature is currently available in specific markets including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, with the launch scope expanding later to include more countries.
