The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro were launched alongside the regular edition at the February 2026 Galaxy Unpacked event. Compared to their predecessors, Samsung’s new high-end wireless earbuds feature a simpler design, improved audio performance, and deeper ecosystem integration.
Samsung unveiled the high-end Galaxy Buds 4 Pro at its February 2026 Unpacked event. These wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation technology, compared to the regular version, come with a larger speaker array.
On the other hand, when compared to the last generation Buds 3 Pro, the newer wireless earbuds have a 20% larger speaker area. Samsung adds that the oscillating surface has increased while the speaker edge thickness has decreased. These changes should lead to better low-frequency response.
The audio setup also has a high-frequency tweeter, and the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro offer 24-bit/96kHz audio. However, it should be noted that the Ultra HD Audio feature is currently exclusive to select Samsung phones, and is not turned on by default.
In terms of design, Samsung says that the Buds 4 Pro adopts a simpler design than its predecessors. As the press materials highlight, the shape is based on more than 10,000 simulations, and the overall design aims to provide long-lasting comfort and better stability.
There’s a redesigned wing structure that promises a tighter fit, and the charging case looks less like a knockoff of the Apple AirPods Pro, currently available for $229 on Amazon. As for the active noise cancellation performance, Samsung says it has been improved, and the adaptive active noise cancellation technology with sound equalizer can provide noise reduction through real-time analysis.
For calls, the Buds 4 Pro offer Ultra Wideband calling, promising a higher audio bandwidth for improved clarity. Samsung has also changed the microphone position to improve sound pickup and reduce wind interference.
Other notable features include up to 30 hours of battery life with active noise cancellation turned off, Bluetooth 6.1, Bluetooth AuraCast, and an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance. Pre-orders for the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro begin today, February 25, 2026, in select markets at a price of $249, and Samsung plans to ship these early orders on March 6.
