Samsung is preparing to make a significant change in the A series by providing the Galaxy A57 with a flexible OLED screen for the first time. According to a recent report, the Chinese company CSOT will manufacture part of these screens, becoming the first external supplier to participate in supplying Samsung with screens of this type alongside Samsung Display.
Although Samsung will not rely entirely on CSOT, the entry of a new supplier represents a remarkable step, especially since Samsung Display will remain the largest supplier for the largest share of screens.
The use of a flexible OLED panel allows for the design of thinner and more uniform side edges, unlike previous Galaxy A series phones that used rigid OLED screens. On the other hand, the same report indicates that CSOT will also provide Samsung with custom flexible OLED screens for the upcoming Galaxy S26 FE.
For comparison, the previous Galaxy A56 came with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, but it did not benefit from the advantages of flexible screens. With the adoption of this change in the A57, noticeable improvements can be expected in the display quality and overall design.
The Galaxy A57 is expected to be unveiled in February 2026. Leaks indicate that it will operate with an Exynos 1680 processor, with support for 45-watt fast charging, in addition to a triple rear camera system that includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 main sensor, a 13-megapixel wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro lens.
