Although the developments in the Galaxy S Ultra series may seem limited at first glance, over the past five years, Samsung has introduced important changes since the Galaxy S20 Ultra debuted. At the time, the increase in battery capacity from 4,500 to 5,000 mAh was one of the most notable differences between it and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
Since then, Samsung has launched five new generations, leading up to the Galaxy S25 Ultra released last January, which of course surpasses the Galaxy S20 Ultra in most aspects, but still maintains a typical battery capacity of 5,000 mAh, along with wired charging of 45 watts only when using a compatible charger, which is a charger that the company no longer includes inside the box.
Recently, reports have emerged indicating that this situation may change with the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Initially, talk was limited to possible support for 60W wired charging, but the Instant Digital account on the Weibo platform has now revealed an additional upgrade in battery capacity as well.

According to the leak, Samsung is preparing to adopt a 5,200 mAh battery in the Galaxy S26 Ultra, an increase of approximately 4% over the Galaxy S25 Ultra and the generations that preceded it.
The company is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 Ultra alongside the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26 Plus on February 25, amid speculation that the next Galaxy Unpacked event will be held in San Francisco.
