Recent leaks reveal that Apple is close to launching a foldable iPhone with an unusual design, characterized by wide dimensions and a spacious internal screen. In the same context, reports indicate that Samsung is moving with clear steps to develop a foldable phone with a similar design, in an attempt to compete directly with Apple in this new direction.

According to a new report, Samsung is currently working on a foldable phone equipped with a 7.6-inch OLED internal screen, with a 4:3 aspect ratio, which are dimensions that are not common in current foldable phones. It is expected that this phone will be unveiled next year, with a design closer to the shape of a passport when folded.

At the same time, these specifications intersect remarkably with what is rumored about the foldable iPhone, which is said to come with an internal screen measuring 7.58 inches, which reinforces the hypothesis of direct competition between the two companies in the same design category.

Moreover, the report indicates that the wide-screen foldable Samsung phone will include a 5.4-inch external screen, in addition to its support for 25-watt wireless charging.

It is worth noting that a previous leak last week included images of the Samsung foldable phone with a wide design.

According to the leak, these images appeared as part of a survey conducted by the company, which focused on evaluating users’ preferences regarding foldable phone designs, which enhances the credibility of these reports.
