OnePlus is preparing to hold a launch event on December 17, during which it will announce a group of new products, including the OnePlus Watch Lite, a smart watch expected to be more economical compared to the company’s recent releases. Recent leaks revealed new details that highlight a significant difference from previous OnePlus watches.

The company explained that the OnePlus Watch Lite will come with a thin and light design, with a thickness of 8.9 mm and a weight of only 35 grams. The stainless steel body will contain a 1.46-inch AMOLED screen, with a brightness of up to 3,000 nits in sports mode, and 600 nits in daily use.

The watch will also support tracking heart rate, blood oxygen level, and sleep pattern. It will also offer NFC, dual-frequency GPS, in addition to compatibility with Android and iOS devices.

In terms of battery, the OnePlus Watch Lite will provide a usage life of up to 10 days on a single charge, which is a distinctive number that likely indicates that the watch does not run the WearOS system, as there is no smart watch that runs on this system that provides this level of battery.

For example, the OnePlus Watch 3, which is considered one of the best among WearOS watches, provides a lifespan of only 5 days in smart use mode.

In terms of colors, the watch will be available in two colors, silver and black, and it seems that the absence of WearOS makes the OnePlus Watch Lite a successor to the previous watch, the OnePlus Watch, which did not receive positive reviews.
