Lenovo announced a prototype of AI-powered smart glasses at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, an experimental step towards integrating AI into everyday wearable devices. The model features a light design similar to regular glasses, with a transparent display that projects information directly in front of the eye, a built-in camera, microphones, and small speakers.

The model relies on local AI processing to provide privacy and speed, while supporting tasks such as instant language translation during conversations, displaying information about visual objects (such as identifying a plant or information about a landmark), and contextual suggestions such as reminders or phone-free navigation directions. The device connects to the phone via Bluetooth to access cloud data when needed, with a battery that lasts a full day on average use.

At the demo, Lenovo showed how the glasses can translate a live conversation, display recipes in front of the eye while cooking, or identify the names of people in a meeting. The model supports a custom AI model from Lenovo, with the possibility of integration with assistants like Gemini or Copilot in the future.

Lenovo has not announced a price or commercial availability for the model, as it remains conceptual, with a commercial version likely in 2027 or later based on development and feedback. This model is seen as a potential competitor to devices like Meta Ray-Ban or Google Glass in the future, with a focus on privacy and everyday use without complexity.
