Last week, we saw the first CAD rendering of the upcoming iPhone Fold, and today a video appears showing the device from more angles.
It appears that the video may be based on the leaked schematics, but this is not explicitly stated, and may be intended to mislead the viewer into believing that it is a real leak. In fact, the video is closer to speculation than an official reveal.
At least one notable difference from previous leaked renders stands out, which is the contrast in the placement of the selfie camera on the foldable internal display.
Although it’s not clear who’s right here, note that the video begins by saying there will only be three new iPhones next year, completely ignoring the iPhone 17e. The video indicates that the iPhone Fold will only be available in black and white.
Rumors have suggested that Apple insisted that the crease in the foldable screen be very precise, almost invisible, which is what the video focuses on, even though Chinese foldable phones have had precise creases for years.
Will the iPhone Fold be even smaller, or completely imperceptible? Perhaps, but the question remains about the purpose of portraying all other foldable phones as if their folds are so huge.
