Instagram announced a new application dedicated to large screens called Instagram for TV, in a move aimed at transferring the Reels viewing experience to television devices. In its current stage, the application is limited to displaying Reels clips only, with the company confirming that additional features are under development.
The company has now begun testing the application in the United States on Amazon Fire TV devices, and will later expand to include other devices and regions in the coming months.
The application allows users to add up to five different accounts, or create an account designated for use on TV only. It also organizes Reels into separate channels based on the user’s interests and preferences.

Instagram for TV supports the search feature, allowing you to easily discover different content creators, accounts, and topics. At the same time, Instagram plans to add future features, including using the phone as a control device, providing shared viewing feeds, as well as improvements to the navigation method within the application.
At the level of security, the application adopts an age rating system of +13, and provides teenagers with the same protection measures available on the phone application, including restricting access to inappropriate content, comments, or accounts for those under 18 years of age.
