In addition to launching gaming laptops and desktops, HP introduced a group of new gaming accessories during CES 2026, the most prominent of which was the HyperX Origins 2 series of keyboards, which includes three new models to meet the needs of most gamers.

The series includes the Origins 2 Pro 65, a Hall-effect gaming board with a 65% compact chassis. Magnetic switches provide linearity of response, with a cleaner sound thanks to the O-ring mounting method.

The interchangeable chassis also allows gamers to customize the overall look, and Rapid Trigger technology ensures fast keystrokes, while the 8kHz response rate minimizes input lag.

The non-Pro Origins 2 65 keeps the 8kHz response rate but uses regular mechanical switches instead of TMR or Hall Effect. It also supports an interchangeable chassis and hot-replaceable switches, with HyperX Linear Red switches available.

Moving on to the HyperX Origins 2 1800, it is a full-sized board but comes with a compact design. Like the other models, it has an interchangeable chassis, but uses regular linear switches instead of magnetic. The panel also supports an 8kHz response rate, and the O-ring panel mounting method ensures deep bass and light reflection when pressed.

All three boards come wired only, with RGB lighting for each key. HP has not yet revealed prices or availability, noting that the previous Origins 65 model starts at $99.99.
