Google announced the launch of a new set of video creation and editing tools within the Google Photos application on both Android and iOS, in a move aimed at simplifying the video making process and enhancing users’ creative capabilities.
On Android, the user can now create highlights videos more easily through ready-made templates within the application. These templates come with pre-defined music, text, and clips, where the user chooses the images and clips to be used, while the application automatically assembles them into a ready-made video.
Google has also begun launching an updated video editor for both Android and iOS, which provides broader control tools for video highlights through a unified timeline and multi-clip editing capabilities, giving the user greater flexibility during editing.

In addition, users of both systems get an easy-to-use music selection tool, which provides an audio library organized by category to suit different types of clips.
As for Android users in particular, they can now add texts over the video, with the ability to choose fonts, styles, and colors to suit the content.
The new video editor becomes the default experience in the app on Android, with faster access to editing tools, adding text, and merging music directly within Google Photos.
