With the EX1 and EX3, Satechi has proven that an ultra-slim keyboard design doesn’t have to mean sacrificing repairability, introducing modular batteries that can be replaced in a few simple steps. In addition to the Thunderbolt 5 CubeDock device, which is similar in design to the Apple Mac mini, the company revealed during CES 2026 new accessories that include a mouse and two keyboards, targeting a wide segment of users thanks to its dual support for macOS and Windows systems, and the variety of connectivity options via Bluetooth and USB-C dongles, as well as their relatively reasonable prices.

The Satechi EX Wireless Mouse comes with a low-profile desktop design, and is characterized by the use of aluminum in the upper structure despite its economical price. The mouse allows pairing with three devices simultaneously (two via Bluetooth and one via the included USB-C dongle), and can be easily switched between them via a dedicated button at the bottom. The keys are relatively quiet, with a USB-C charging port on the front. The most prominent feature of this mouse is the ability to replace the built-in battery manually without the need for any tools if its performance deteriorates after years of use.

The same sustainable design approach applies to the new EX1 and EX3 keyboards, where the battery is located under a cover that is secured with just one screw to the chassis, allowing it to be replaced in a matter of minutes. The main difference between the two versions lies in the size; The EX3 version includes a numeric keypad and full-sized arrow keys. These keyboards rely on membrane technology to provide an ultra-thin typing experience that mimics laptop keyboards, and can pair with up to four devices. Although it doesn’t have a backlight, Satechi touts a battery that lasts “several weeks,” and there’s a slider switch on the back to instantly switch between the Windows and macOS button layout.

Regarding prices and availability, the new products will be launched first in the US market, and are expected to arrive in other markets later. The company has set the price of the Satechi EX Wireless Mouse at $29.99, while the Satechi Slim EX1 Wireless Keyboard is priced at $49.99, and the larger EX3 version with a number pad is priced at $69.99.
