A parliamentarian demands an urgent solution to the crisis of pension disbursement, solidarity and dignity

In his submitted request, the MP warned of the worsening crisis of the limited number of outlets for disbursing pensions and salaries and the Takaful and Karama programs, stressing that the current situation is no longer tolerable in light of the millions of beneficiaries and the resulting monthly overcrowding and queues in front of ATMs.

The representative explained that the number of pensioners reached 12,474,419 citizens, while the number of beneficiaries of the Takaful program reached 2,576,371 beneficiaries, and the number of beneficiaries of the Karama program reached 2,095,440 beneficiaries, with a total of 17,146,230 beneficiaries (a total of 30 million citizens), while the number of pension disbursement outlets does not exceed only 9,862 outlets, bringing the average number The beneficiaries are 1,738 individuals per outlet, which explains the scenes of severe crowding and ATM queues spread monthly in various governorates, especially Giza Governorate.

Mansour pointed out that the crisis does not stop at the small number of outlets, but rather extends to the ATMs not being fed with cash to the permissible capacity, which leads to money running out in the middle of the day, and many pensioners being forced to return to their homes without paying their entitlements, despite their health suffering and advanced age, in addition to transportation costs, adding: They have served the country for years, so they cannot spend it in queues.

The MP also criticized the disruption of drainage systems for long hours at times, which increases overcrowding and overcrowding, and increases the suffering of the elderly, pensioners, and people with disabilities.

The representative called for holding coordination meetings between the concerned authorities, led by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the Ministry of Communications, and bank officials, to develop radical and quick solutions to this recurring suffering, and to accelerate the increase in the number of ATM outlets and ATM machines.

He also pointed out the small number of ATMs designated for disbursing Takaful and Dignity pension, as beneficiaries are forced to spend from Nasser Bank machines only, while additional expenses are deducted in the event of withdrawal from other bank machines, which represents an unjustified burden on the most needy groups.

The representative called on the government to urgently coordinate to increase the number of exchange outlets, and to ensure regular feeding of money into the machines, out of consideration for pensioners, the sick, and people with disabilities, to reduce congestion, and to preserve citizens’ dignity and health safety.
