Xiaomi has confirmed the global launch date of the new Redmi Buds 8 Pro wireless earbuds. Meanwhile, the company also confirmed the global specifications and color options.

Xiaomi has confirmed that it will launch a new pair of fully wireless earbuds globally. Specifically, the company has added the Redmi Buds 8 Pro headphones to its global site as an alternative to the older Redmi Buds 6 Pro headphones, which are currently available for $71.99 on Amazon. In contrast, there is no trace of the rumored Redmi Buds 8 Active.

The Redmi Buds 8 Pro will be available globally in Cloud White, Glacier Blue, and Obsidian Black, all of which come with 54 mAh and 480 mAh batteries inside their matching charging cases. It features a battery life of up to 8 hours on a single charge. Xiaomi also provides a modem that supports Bluetooth 5.4 technology and three microphones for each earphone, which helps provide up to 55 dB of active noise cancellation.

In addition, the Redmi Buds 8 Pro are Hi-Res Audio certified and support the LDAC codec. Not only that, but the new Xiaomi earbuds are compatible with Google’s quick pairing feature and feature multipoint connectivity. The Redmi Buds 8 Pro headphones also feature IP54 dust and water resistance.

At the moment, Xiaomi has not confirmed the pricing. Likewise, its global website does not provide any indications about availability. However, the bottom of the company’s events page shows that the Redmi Buds 8 Pro will be one of the products that will be showcased during its event on February 28. Hence, we expect sales to start either on February 28 or early March.
