The Dakahlia Water and Sanitation Company announced the interruption of drinking water in the center and city of Nabaruh, and the weakness of water in some of its villages, on Thursday, January 15, 2026, starting at 2 p.m. until 4 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026, for a period of approximately 14 hours.
The company explained that the areas whose residents will witness a complete water outage include:
Nabruh city
Dren villages
Kafr El Geneina
The following areas will witness weak water pressure:-
Starch
Dead Abbad
Kafr Dakrouri
Avneesh
Kafr Al Hessa
The company attributed the reason for the temporary outage to the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Dakahlia carrying out the work of connecting the expulsion line of the new Nabarouh water station with a diameter of 700 mm to the existing line with the same diameter of flexible cast iron, as part of the work of the assigned contractor, with the aim of developing the network and expanding the operational capacity of the Nabarouh station, and improving the level of service and quality of water provided to citizens.
The company confirmed that these works come within the framework of its plan to develop and modernize the infrastructure of the water and sanitation networks in the governorate, in order to ensure the sustainability of the service, reduce future disruptions, and ensure access to safe drinking water for all citizens.
The company called on all citizens, government departments, local units, authorities, hospitals and bakeries to manage their drinking water needs during the outage period, while emphasizing the importance of rational use of water upon its return, to avoid any pressure problems or potential malfunctions.
The company also appealed to citizens to follow the company’s official accounts and pages on social media to obtain any immediate updates regarding the return of water, or the occurrence of any emergency during the outage period.
It is noteworthy that the Dakahlia Water and Sanitation Company is continuing to work to raise the efficiency of water stations and expand the supply and supply lines, as part of its strategic plans to ensure continuity of service, improve its quality, and quickly deal with any malfunctions that may affect citizens.
