Reviewed by Ahmed Kjouk Minister of FinanceThe executive position of the social protection package, explaining that we have disbursed 18.5 billion pounds since the launch of this package in February 2026 to support the eligible and the most vulnerable groups.

Kajok added that 6 billion pounds were made available to disburse 400 pounds in additional cash support to 10 million families registered with ration cards, and 1.6 billion pounds in additional cash support were made available to all those entitled to the “Solidarity and Dignity” program, the “Children’s Pension,” and “Rural Women Pioneers.”

The minister indicated that 3 billion pounds “additional support” had been made available for treatment at state expense, and for treating critical cases registered on waiting lists, pointing out that 4.3 billion pounds had been disbursed to speed up the completion of the first phase of the Decent Life Initiative, as we aim to complete 1,000 projects.

He confirmed that 3.5 billion pounds had been made available to the Egyptian Sugar and Integrated Industries Company to pay sugarcane farmers’ dues.
