The representative said Ahmed DiabPresident of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association, said that league matches during the month of Ramadan are safe from a medical and scientific standpoint.

Ahmed Diab added, in television statements: The Medical Committee of the Football Association, as well as the Ministry of Health, did not warn of any problem regarding playing matches on the first day of Ramadan.

He continued: The matches will be held at nine-thirty in the evening, and there is no medical or scientific information indicating the danger of holding matches at the beginning of the holy month.

Representative Ahmed Diab also revealed the details of the project to merge public clubs with institutional clubs, and stressed that there is a clear plan to merge public clubs with institutional clubs in a way that serves the development of Egyptian football.

He continued: In the Senate Youth and Sports Committee, we have an idea for mass clubs, and we spoke about it with Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, the former Minister of Sports, and we will continue the discussions with Gohar Nabil. Our project is clear and frank, and aims to merge mass clubs with institutional clubs.

He added: According to the project presented in the Senate, this will serve the clubs, and its results will be rapid, whether for the Egyptian League clubs or the professional and second-tier clubs, and within a season or two, the fan clubs will return to competing in the league.

He continued: Egypt has good infrastructure and distinctive stadiums, and what we only need is organization and coordination to provide better stadiums for all clubs.

Diab concluded his statements, saying: It is expected that the league will end in the last third of next May, and the official announcement will be made after the draw for the second round of the competition is held.
