I witnessed an episode of the program “A decent life» Today, there was an impressive humanitarian stance, after the initiative provided direct support to one of the women whom the program team met during a field tour in the streets in search of the first cases to be cared for.
Details of the lady’s suffering
During the meeting, the woman recounted the details of her suffering, confirming that she has been working in selling abayas for about 20 years, despite her difficult health conditions, explaining that her husband has died and she has three married daughters, but she refuses to burden them with additional burdens.
The program team noticed that she was carrying a number of medications, revealing that she had undergone a stent installation and a heart catheterization, in addition to suffering from diabetes.
When asked why she continues to work despite her health condition, she said with emotion: “Where do I get my expenses from?” Where do I eat and drink? My children are each in his house, and the daughter takes her mother from her house? We are Saida and we do not know how to take any of our daughters’ husbands. I have worked this job for 20 years, and God has wisdom, and praise be to God, I am satisfied.”
A humanitarian gesture
In response to her situation, the “Decent Life” initiative provided a financial gift in support of her, in a humanitarian gesture that brought joy to her heart. She concluded her words with a poignant message about the spirit of love and coexistence, saying: “I love Muslims, not because you are in front of me… There are many Muslim brothers and we are all one hand, and we will meet each other above… A Christian and a Muslim will meet above.”
