The Kuwait Meteorological Department issued a weather warning today in Kuwait, with reduced horizontal visibility due to fog on Friday, February 13, 2026, as several areas are expected to be affected by a decrease in visibility reaching less than 1,000 meters and may not exist in some areas, with the warning continuing for 12 hours at moderate intensity from 23:00 on Thursday evening until 11:00 on Friday morning.

Forecasts indicate that there is a small chance of scattered light rain falling on the southern regions of the country, which calls for caution, especially while driving in the early hours of the morning.

However, during the night hours, the sea will remain light to moderate, with wave height ranging between 2-4 feet, with waves generally northwesterly at various marine stations.
According to the tidal schedule in Shuwaikh Port, the first tide occurs at 10:14 am and the second tide occurs at 19:50 pm, while the first low tide occurs at 03:26 am and the second low tide occurs at 13:24 pm.
In the evening, the weather today in Kuwait is expected to witness a cool atmosphere with a partly cloudy sky, with light to moderate southeasterly to variable winds, with speeds ranging between 10-32 km/hour. The forecast also indicates that there is a chance for fog to form in some areas during the hours of the night and early morning, which may affect traffic and horizontal visibility on external roads and highways.
As for the marine stations, they record relatively moderate temperatures, with maximum temperatures expected to range between 22 and 25 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures range between 16 and 19 degrees Celsius. All marine stations, including Shuwaikh Port, Ras Al Barsha, Qarwa Island, Umm Al Maradim, Salmiya and Al Julaiah, are witnessing a similar wave height of 3 feet with a northwesterly direction of the waves, providing relatively stable marine conditions for navigation and marine activities.
It is noted in today’s weather in Kuwait that the interior and southern regions will witness a greater rise in temperatures compared to the coastal and island regions, as the Warba and Bubiyan region recorded the lowest maximum temperature at 21 degrees Celsius due to the effects of humidity and its proximity to bodies of water.
The Meteorological Department called on all citizens and residents to be extremely careful while driving during periods of low horizontal visibility due to fog, especially in the early morning hours, and to adhere to traffic safety rules, reduce speed, and use appropriate warning signals.
