A reconciliation ceremony in Al-Tayeb Square

This ceremony comes under the patronage of His Eminence the Grand Imam Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, emphasizing the role of the religious institution in healing the rift and stopping bloodshed.

Turning the page on a dispute that has lasted for years

The roots of the rivalry go back to a dispute that broke out about 6 years ago between the two parties (Ahmed Ali Obaid) and (Kamal Ali Obaid) due to a dispute over a piece of land, which led to a rift that lasted for years.

The efforts of the Reconciliation Committee, in coordination with Sheikh Al-Tayeb Square, succeeded in bringing viewpoints closer together and convincing both parties to embrace peace, in compliance with the Almighty’s saying: “So whoever pardons and makes reconciliation, his reward is with God.”

A high-level official and popular presence

The reconciliation ceremony is witnessed by a high-level delegation that includes Dr. Abbas Shoman, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Reconciliations at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, Dr. Muhammad Abdel Dayem Al-Jundi, and His Eminence Sheikh Muhammad Muhammad Ahmed Al-Tayeb.

The ceremony is also attended by the Governor of Luxor and the Governor of Qena, and the security directors of the two governorates, along with a group of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, mayors and sheikhs of the tribes, and reconciliation committees, amid an atmosphere of love and tolerance.

This session comes within the framework of the ongoing efforts made by Sheikh Al-Tayeb Square to end the revenge disputes in Upper Egypt, in cooperation with the Al-Azhar Reconciliation Committee and the security services in Luxor Governorate and Qena Governorate, in order to preserve societal security and peace.
