The Damanhour Center in Beheira Governorate witnessed an unfortunate incident, where two workers set fire to their colleague while they were working in a crisps factory, by pouring jerry cans on him. The young man was transferred to the Central Hospital to receive the necessary treatment due to his severe second-degree burns throughout his body. A report was written on the incident to initiate investigations.

The security services in Beheira received a notification from the warden of Damanhour police station, stating that they had received a report from the rescue police that two workers had set their colleague on fire using highly flammable materials (thinner) inside a crisps factory next to the Damanhour college complex. The security services immediately moved to the site, and the injured person was transferred to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment.

Upon examination, it was found that Mahmoud Mamdouh Abu Eid, 18 years old, a worker in a crisps factory in Damanhour, residing in the Al-Bayda area in the center of Damanhour, suffered severe second-degree burns all over the body. The necessary medical services and examinations are being provided. A report on the incident has been drawn up to be presented to contact persons, and the Criminal Investigation Department has been tasked with investigating the incident, its circumstances, and circumstances.

When asked by the victim’s family, they confirmed that the young man had been working since his childhood to support his mother and sister due to the travel of his father, who works in Libya. He was surprised, after he finished his work in the factory, that his colleagues forced him to work in their place instead of them. When he refused, they poured jerry cans on his body and set him on fire. After that, they threw him near his house, and the village people took him to the hospital and wrote a report on the incident.
