The National Emergency and Public Safety Network in Suez Governorate announced that the electricity supply to the entire Hod El Dars area in the Suez district would be cut off today, Saturday, for five hours.

The network explained, in an official statement, that the Suez Electrical Engineering Engineering Company will carry out comprehensive maintenance work for the electricity transformers in the Hod El Darres area, which will require disconnecting the electrical current from nine in the morning until two in the afternoon.

The network appealed to citizens to take all necessary precautionary measures until power is restored.

In this context, Major General Dr. Tariq Hamid Al-Shazly, Governor of Suez, directed the executive agencies in the governorate to notify citizens of the disconnection of facilities well in advance to enable them to prepare, stressing the importance of prior communication with vital facilities and coordination with the National Emergency and Public Safety Network to determine the necessary needs if the services provided through these facilities are affected.

On the other hand, Major General Ahmed Alaa El-Din, head of the Suez district, led an extensive campaign to remove occupancy and encroachments within the district, stressing to the district authorities the need to continuously monitor the streets and remove any occupancy while taking the necessary legal measures to preserve the rights of passers-by. He also stressed following up on any encroachments on state lands or violations, removing them in the cradle, and taking legal measures against violators.
