This comes as part of a field tour in Alexandria Governorate, during which he visits the Alexandria Mill and the Consumer Complex, in addition to the opening of two automated bakeries in the Bashayer Al-Khair area in Karmouz, west of the city.
In another context, the activities of the 15th edition of the International Maritime Transport and Logistics Conference Marlog 15 will begin today, Sunday, in Alexandria, which is organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – the Port Training Institute – under the title: Smart and Flexible Logistics Corridors: The Gateway to the Future for Green Global Trade, under the patronage of Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary General of the League of Arab States, and Lt. General Engineer Kamel El Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport.
Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy and Chairman of the Conference, said that this edition is of great strategic importance as it is an international platform for policy making and exchange of experiences, which supports the country’s vision of transforming into a regional and global center for transport and logistics, noting that the conference will be held in the presence of high-level Arab transport ministers and international officials.
The edition’s activities are scheduled to be opened by Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, in the presence of Dr. Nidal Mardi Al-Qatamin, Jordanian Minister of Transport, Mukhtar Ahmed Boussif, Mauritanian Minister of Fishing and Infrastructure, Saif Al-Nasr Al-Tijani Haroun, Sudanese Minister of Transport, and Marina Hadjmanoulis, Vice President of Cyprus for Shipping Affairs, in addition to the heads of the port authorities, the Suez Canal and the economic zone, and a group of ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps.
