Handball fans are awaiting a strong confrontation between the two poles of Egyptian sports, Al-Ahly and Zamalek, which is scheduled to be held this Friday evening at the conclusion of the first round competitions in the second stage of the Egyptian Professional Handball League for the local season 2025-2026.
Al-Ahly faces Zamalek in the Professional Handball League
The match is expected to start at nine in the evening at the Dr. Hassan Mustafa Hall in 6th of October City, in a confrontation that may be decisive in the race for the top of the table.
The struggle at the top of the league continues between Al-Ahly and Zamalek as the decisive stages of the competition approach, in light of the convergence of levels and each team’s endeavor to score full points and enhance its chances of winning the title.
Al-Ahly leads the league standings with 24 points after the end of the sixth round of the second stage, while Zamalek comes in second place with 22.5 points, continuing to chase its traditional rival in the struggle for the title.
The National Bank occupies third place with 17.5 points, followed by Talaea El Gaish in fourth place with 15 points, then Smouha in fifth place with 14 points, and Sporting in sixth place with 13.5 points.
In the following positions, Al Jazira comes in seventh place with 10.5 points, while Al Shams is at the bottom of the table in eighth place with 7 points.
