Today, Thursday, Engineer Ibrahim Mekki, Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh, inspected a number of departments at Kafr El-Sheikh General Hospital, to monitor the regularity of work and to reassure the level of medical care provided to citizens.

This came in the presence of Dr. Amr Al-Bashbishi, Deputy Governor, Major General Muhammad Shair, Assistant Secretary-General, Dr. Muhammad Abu Al-Saad, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, Major General Dr. Sameh Al-Azab, Director of the Traffic Department, Ahmed Issa, Head of the Kafr El-Sheikh Center and City, Dr. Hussein Abdel Razek, Director of Kafr El-Sheikh General Hospital, and a number of executive leaders.

The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh listened to a presentation by the hospital director about the medical services provided, the number of available beds, health coverage, in addition to performance indicators and quality of services.

The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh followed the progress of work within the reception and emergency department (observation rooms, laboratory, pharmacy, critical care and coordination room, cardiopulmonary resuscitation room, and internal examination room), and other departments, to ensure the availability of medicines and medical supplies and the quality of health care provided to patients.

The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh said that Kafr El-Sheikh General Hospital is considered the most important health facility in the governorate, and provides various medical services through its many departments, including the dialysis department, which includes 42 dialysis machines, and the internal medicine department, which includes 24 beds for general internal medicine, in addition to 29 beds for cardiac care, 16 beds for children, 8 beds for surgical care, 6 beds for neurological care, 4 beds for burn care, and 18 Intermediate care beds, 12 stroke beds, 22 incubators, and an oxygen tank with a capacity of 11,000 litres.

The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh added that the governorate witnessed an unprecedented boom in the health sector, with the state, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, launching a package of urgent health services and initiatives for citizens, including the “Decent Life” initiative in the health sector, in addition to developing a number of hospitals and establishing new ones, and supporting hospitals and health units with a number of modern medical devices and dialysis machines, which contributed to alleviating the burden of our people and providing better health care services.

The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh stressed the importance of providing integrated medical care and developing departments to ensure the provision of the highest quality standards in health services, discipline in working hours, and good treatment of patients.

The Governor of Kafr El-Sheikh stressed the need to train medical personnel on the latest scientific methods and modern technologies in the various departments, which contributes to raising the efficiency of the medical service, reducing the waiting time for patients and providing a distinguished medical and therapeutic service worthy of our people in Kafr El-Sheikh.
