Reports have increased in recent hours about the possibility of Liverpool FC allowing the departure of its Egyptian star Mohamed Salah During the upcoming winter transfer market, in a move that may be used to finance the contract deal with Paris Saint-Germain’s Portuguese player Vitinha, who finished third in the 2025 Ballon d’Or standings.

To finance the Vitinia deal, Liverpool may agree to sell Mohamed Salah in January to Saudi Arabia

According to Football Insider, Liverpool may accept an offer to sell Mohamed Salah in January and sign the third-placed star on the Ballon d’Or list, the Portuguese Vitinha, as Liverpool may not succeed in contracting with the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder unless the club decides to sell Mohamed Salah to Saudi Arabia.

According to the newspaper, Saudi clubs continue to show strong interest in the 33-year-old Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, amid reports that the player may receive 150 million pounds annually if he moves to the Saudi Roshen League.

Reports stated that the Vitinha deal appears to be very complicated, as it confirms that Real Madrid is competing strongly to include the player, which makes it more difficult for Liverpool to move in the market, and with the winter Mercato approaching, it seems that Mohamed Salah’s future will be a decisive element in the shape of Liverpool’s roster and its upcoming moves.

Keith Wyness, the former CEO of Everton, Aberdeen and Aston Villa, who now runs a football consultancy that advises elite clubs, told Football Insider that Liverpool spent more than 400 million pounds last summer, making it difficult to sign a new major player without selling one of the team’s stars.

He pointed out that the club will need huge financial resources to complete the Vitinha deal, and this will only be achieved by selling Salah.
