Investigating authorities decided to detain those accused of throwing water bags at the picnic worshipers, pending investigation on Saturday morning.
Those accused of throwing water bags at citizens were arrested after Eid al-Fitr prayers at the picnic
Earlier, the security services at the Ministry of Interior were able to uncover the circumstances of a video clip that was circulated on social media sites, which included some people throwing bags of water at citizens after the Eid al-Fitr prayer at the Nozha Police Department in Cairo.
Through examination, it was possible to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the incident (one of the people and his two sons), and when they were confronted, they confessed to committing the incident and explained that they had committed it because the worshipers sat on the first’s car and feared damage to it, and legal measures were taken.
