Today is the anniversary of the birth of the artist Montaser Billah, who is considered one of the most important artists in the history of Egyptian art, as he was able to combine the performance of dramatic characters with a comedic nature.
Al-Muntaser Billah began his artistic career with the Adwa Al-Masharah Trio group in 1970 and became famous through comedies such as Hazrat Al-Sada Al-Ayal, A Very Happy Family, Muhammad Ali Street, Alashan Khater Ayyounak, Urgently Wanted, and Al-Alama Pasha.
He shined dramatically and cinematically through many important works, including the series “Arabesque,” “Sons, But, It’s Time,” “Bright Days,” “I Will Not Walk,” “Yesterday’s Road,” “Ayoun,” “A Man and Six Women.”
In cinema, Montaser Billah participated in a number of films, including Al-Maghnawati, Al-Tayeb Effendi, The Challenge, The Hard Time, The Staring Understands, The Tannery Walls.. The Egyptian Citizen, Haret Al-Jawhari, You Will Love and Love, and Against the Government.

Al-Muntaser Billah married the artist Aziza Kassab, but after marriage she left art to devote herself to her family and gave birth to three daughters, so he was given the nickname Father of Girls.
In the last years of his life, Almontaser Billah suffered from a stroke in the brain, which he suffered in 2008, and because of it he stayed away from acting for two years, and then tried to return by participating in the series “Last Summer” in 2010, but the disease was stronger than his will and he completely stayed away from acting in the last 10 years of his life.
Al-Montaser Billah gathered several positions with major artists. During the contract for the play “Muhammad Ali Street”, which is the most famous play in his career, some did not want Al-Montaser Billah to participate in the play, but Sherihan threatened to withdraw and apologize from the work if Al-Montaser Billah was let go, so that she could stand by him so that the work crew would respond to her desire, as she was the main heroine, and also to the strong friendship she had with Ahmed Zaki, who used to visit him at home and ask his wife to prepare molokhiya for him. And pigeons, and he used to eat molokhiya in the “maj” and he taught him to eat it in the same way.
