The Second Circuit of Terrorism, held in Badr, headed by Counselor Wagdy Abdel Moneim, decided today to postpone the trial of 207 defendants, in Case No. 13272 of 2024, Urban Felonies, in the case known as “ISIS Al-Omraniya”, for the April 12 session to hear witnesses.

The referral order said that, during the period from 2013 to March 21, 2023, the first accused assumed the leadership of a terrorist group whose purpose was to preach the disruption of public order and endanger the safety and security of society, by assuming leadership of a group affiliated with ISIS, and directly and indirectly training members by preparing and training individuals on making and using weapons. He and others killed “H.F.,” intentionally and with premeditation, and he and others possessed loaded firearms.
The defendants from the 192nd to the 195th were charged with joining a terrorist group, the defendants from the first to the 102nd were charged with financing terrorism, the defendants from the 196th to the last participated in a terrorist group with knowledge of its objectives, some of the defendants were charged with committing murder, and others were charged with possession of weapons and ammunition, and possession of materials similar to explosives.
