The Supreme Council of Universities prohibits faculty members from presenting course content via social media without the university’s approval

This decision came within the Guide to Academic Integrity and Ethics of Scientific Research in Egypt, which was launched by the Supreme Council of Universities, as the first comprehensive and unified national framework aimed at consolidating the values of scientific honesty, controlling academic practices, and governing educational and research work within Egyptian universities and research institutions.

The guide also stipulates that it is prohibited to publish any content via social media accounts that conflicts with the university’s policies, rules, etiquette, or ethics, in order to ensure the preservation of academic values and institutional discipline.

The Supreme Council of Universities confirmed that the guide aims to protect intellectual property rights, ensure the quality of the educational process, and enhance confidence in the higher education and scientific research system, while unifying ethical references within the Egyptian university community.
