The Pyramids club’s first football team decided the result of its match against its guest, Masar, by winning with two unanswered goals, qualifying for the eighth-finals of the Egypt Cup, which lost its title last season to Zamalek.
The match between Pyramids and Masar started in a calm and balanced manner by both teams, with the first half ending in a draw without any goals.
In the second half, after a quarter of an hour, the Pyramids team was able to snatch the lead through its player Mostafa Zico, specifically in the 61st minute, while Abdel Rahman Magdy doubled the score with the second goal in the 88th minute through a penalty kick awarded by the referee, with which Mohamed Ataa, a Masar player, was sent off.
With this result, Pyramids Club secured its place among the adults in the round of 16, in its journey to regain the title that it lost last season to Zamalek Club on penalties.
