Saw price sterling Today, Thursday, February 26, 2026, there is remarkable stability against the Egyptian pound in local banks, according to the latest data from the National Bank of Egypt, and the price of the British pound reached 64.46 pounds for purchase and 65.76 pounds for sale, which is the same price recorded by most government and private banks.
Sterling prices in government banks
In government banks, British pound rates recorded the following:
National Bank of Egypt: 64.46 pounds to buy, 65.76 pounds to sell.
Banque Misr: 64.46 pounds to buy, 65.76 pounds to sell.
Banque du Caire: 64.46 pounds to buy, 65.76 pounds to sell.
Land Bank, Agricultural Bank of Egypt, Industrial Development Bank: similar prices according to supply and demand.
According to the data, the highest purchase price was recorded at the Arab International Banking Company and Suez Canal Bank, while the lowest selling price was recorded at the National Bank of Egypt and Banque Misr.
Sterling rates in private and foreign banks
As for private and foreign banks, the prices were as follows:
Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank: 64.49 pounds to buy, 65.79 pounds to sell.
Commercial International Bank (CIB): 64.46 pounds to buy, 65.76 pounds to sell.
Bank of Alexandria: 64.46 pounds to buy, 65.76 pounds to sell.
Sterling rates in exchange companies
Today, exchange companies recorded stable prices for the pound sterling at 64.46 pounds for purchase and 65.76 pounds for sale, in light of the stability of the banking market and the continuous supervision of the Central Bank of Egypt to maintain the stability of foreign currency prices in the local market.
This stability provides a suitable environment for citizens and investors to conduct financial transfers and commercial transactions without worrying about sudden fluctuations in the price of the British pound against the Egyptian pound.
