Dr. Louay Saad El-Din Nusrat, President of the University, testified AswanThe religious celebration organized by the Jaafari Ahmadiyya Muhammadiyah order, on the occasion of commemorating the birth anniversary of the two venerable imams, Sheikh Zia al-Haqq al-Jaafari and Sheikh Abd al-Rahim Taha al-Jaafari, at the order’s headquarters in Nag al-Kafouri in the Akkad neighborhood in the city of Aswan. This was in the presence of Ziad Yassin, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Aswan, Dr. Tariq Hassan, Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering, and a number of academic and religious leaders from various countries of the Islamic world.

Sheikhs of Sufi orders

The celebration took place in a spiritual atmosphere full of remembrance and religious supplications, with the participation of a number of religious leaders, sheikhs of Sufi orders, sons of the order, and lovers of the Al-Bayt family, amid a wide community presence that reflects the status of this religious occasion in the conscience of the people of Aswan.

Dr. Louay Saad El-Din Nosrat, President of Aswan University, stressed that these religious celebrations represent one of the most important tributaries of strengthening moral and spiritual values, and establish the principles of tolerance, love, and national belonging, praising the historical role of Sufi orders in supporting societal stability and spreading moderate religious awareness.

The university president added that Aswan University is keen to participate in religious and community events that reflect the cultural and religious identity of the Aswan community, and supports positive communication between academic institutions and the local community.

The celebration concluded with prayers for Egypt’s security and stability, and for the political leadership to continue success, asking God to return this occasion with goodness, prosperity, and blessings for everyone.
