Some local media outlets, including the Iranian Labor News Agency (ILNA), had quoted from another news channel reports that Ahmadinejad had been killed in an attack targeting Narmak Square on Saturday morning, March 29, according to what was reported by the Persian Independent Agency on X.

It was reported that 3 of the former Iranian president’s guards were killed in an explosion that occurred in the building that housed his security team.

On the other hand, informed sources reported that Ahmadinejad was not present at his personal home in Narmak or at the building of his security team at the time of the attack, but rather was in another place, confirming the denial of the news of his death.
