Honor the doctor Ashraf SobhiMinister of Youth and Sports, Egyptian Handball Team, born in 2008, silver medalist in the World Championship, during a ceremony held in the presence of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Handball Federation, members of the technical staff, and the team’s players.

The Minister of Sports praised the great achievement achieved by the national team born in 2008, praising the technical level and fighting spirit demonstrated by the players during the world championship competitions, stressing that Egyptian handball has become a successful model of organized work at the level of all age levels.

Dr. Ashraf Sobhi confirmed that the team born in 2008 represents a true nucleus for the future adult world champion team, in light of proper planning, investment in promising talent, and continuity of work within the Egyptian handball system.

The Minister of Youth and Sports thanked Captain Khaled Fathi, President of the Egyptian Handball Federation, and members of the Board of Directors, for the great effort made during the last period, which contributed to achieving successive achievements at the continental and global levels, stressing the state’s continued support for the national teams, in order to continue raising Egypt’s name high in international forums.

For its part, the Board of Directors, led by Khaled Fathi, President of the Federation, expressed their happiness with the honour, stressing that the world silver medal represents an important step towards creating a new generation capable of continuing the achievements and realizing the ambitions of the Egyptian masses.
