The Official Gazette published in Issue No. 102, issued on May 8, 2025, the decisions of Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of the Interior, No. 1905 and 1906 of 2025, regarding allowing 42 citizens to acquire foreign nationality while retaining Egyptian nationality.

The text of Resolution No. 1905 of 2025, after reviewing the Constitution and Law No. 26 of 1975 regarding Egyptian Nationality, and Ministerial Resolution No. 1004 of 2018 issued delegating the Major General Assistant Minister to the Affairs Sector of the Minister’s Office to exercise the powers assigned to the Minister of the Interior pursuant to Law No. 26 of 1975 regarding Egyptian Nationality:

The first article stipulates that each of the twenty-one citizens, the first of whom is Mahmoud Makki Amer Shaheen, and the last of whom is Muhammad Ismail Abdel Aziz Ismail, whose names are listed in the attached statement, are authorized to naturalize with the foreign nationality indicated next to the name of each of them, while retaining the Egyptian nationality. The second article stipulates that this decision be published in the Egyptian Gazette, edited 10/19/2025.
