New Mansoura University project
The meeting, which was held today in the city, also discussed the executive position of the New Mansoura University project, in addition to utility projects in the second phase of the city, electricity network work in the second phase, road maintenance work in the first phase, and station projects, including: the Gamasa industrial sewage treatment plant with a capacity of 15,000 m3/day, and the tertiary wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 40,000 m3/day, where the minister directed weekly follow-up of utility projects at the city level.
Drinking water and sanitation projects
The meeting then touched on following up on the progress of work in the drinking water and sanitation system in Dakahlia Governorate, where the projects being implemented at the governorate level were reviewed within the drinking water and sanitation projects and the expansions of a number of stations and water and sanitation networks. A number of drinking water station projects were also reviewed within the presidential initiative, A Decent Life, to develop the villages of the Egyptian countryside, in addition to drinking water network projects, and a number of sanitation projects within the initiative.
With regard to people of determination, the Minister of Housing directed to adhere to the designs for the general site landscaping works, which take into account the presence of ramps on the sidewalks to facilitate the movement of people of determination, taking into account the movement of people of determination in the Corniche area, starting with the implementation of ramps to move from the parking area to the walkway, then ramps from the walkway to the beach level, then walkers to facilitate movement on the beach.
The Minister confirmed that if there is an owner with mobility disabilities, the owner submits a request to the device to create a movement ramp to facilitate access to the unit (more than one ramp has already been implemented for the units, in addition to a ramp that was implemented at the Khadija Mosque in the First District and a ramp on the island of the road leading to the mosque.
The meeting also addressed all the requests and needs of citizens in the city, which included the presence and increase in the number of bakeries, security services, entry and exit gates, and the problem of stray dogs. The minister directed that all services be provided with urgent solutions until permanent solutions are completed, and that citizens be informed of all details of services in the city.
