Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Abroad Affairs, met on Tuesday evening, November 25, 2025, with a number of members of the Lebanese Parliament from various political blocs and sects, at the beginning of his official visit to Beirut.

The Foreign Minister visits Lebanon

Minister Abdel Ati stressed at the beginning of the meeting that his visit comes within the framework of Egypt’s constant keenness to support brotherly Lebanon and its national institutions to preserve its stability, national unity, and ability to overcome current challenges.

He stressed that Egypt views Lebanon as a fundamental pillar of the regional security and stability system, and that preserving its sovereignty and the independence of its national decision-making remains a firm priority in Egyptian foreign policy.

Minister Abdel Ati stressed the importance of fully implementing Security Council Resolution No. 1701 by all parties, ensuring the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Lebanese territory, stopping repeated violations of Lebanese sovereignty, and enabling Lebanese state institutions and the Lebanese army to carry out their responsibilities in maintaining security and stability, stressing in this context Egypt’s support for everything that would strengthen the authority of the state and its national institutions.

Minister Abdel Aty concluded by emphasizing that Egypt will remain by Lebanon’s side in the face of the current circumstances, and is ready to continue providing support in the areas of development and capacity building, believing that Lebanon’s stability constitutes a fundamental pillar in preserving Arab national security and enhancing the elements of stability in the region.
