Dr. Ishaq Jamil Ishaq, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Giza, conducted an inspection visit to Zayed Central Hospital, hours before the official opening of a new intensive care unit for newborns “nurseries,” which is scheduled to be opened today in the presence of the Governor of Giza.

During the visit, the Undersecretary inspected the new nursery unit, which has a capacity of 8 beds, and showed that it is fully prepared to receive cases, after being equipped with the latest medical devices and supplies necessary to care for newborns, especially premature ones, with full adherence to approved quality standards, and application of all infection control policies, ensuring the provision of safe and distinguished medical service.
The inspection tour also included passing through a number of vital departments within the hospital, including the adult intensive care unit, the artificial kidney unit, and outpatient clinics, in addition to the operating rooms, which are currently witnessing comprehensive equipment and development work, in preparation for their opening as soon as possible, as part of the plan to develop the hospital and raise the efficiency of medical services provided to citizens.
During the visit, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Giza was keen to follow up on the implementation of patient safety standards and occupational health and safety standards, and to review the availability of medical supplies. He directed that any deficiencies be quickly completed, stressing the necessity of not having any obstacles that might affect the opening date or the regularity of the provision of medical services.
This inspection tour comes within the framework of the keenness of the Ministry of Health and Population and the Directorate of Health Affairs in Giza to improve the health system and expand critical care services, in a way that contributes to providing a safe and integrated health service worthy of the people of Giza Governorate.
