Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, intensified his field tours to follow up on the final preparations of the electoral committees throughout the governorate, in preparation for the two polling days scheduled for next Monday and Tuesday, in the 2025 House of Representatives elections.
During the tour, the governor stressed the need to provide all logistical and organizational equipment to ensure the voting process goes smoothly and easily, while adhering to complete neutrality towards all candidates, to ensure the integrity and transparency of the electoral process. He also indicated that the governorate is working to overcome any obstacles that voters may face before or inside the committees.



The governor directed the intensification of cleaning work and the removal of waste and occupants in front of and around the committees, in addition to enhancing lighting inside the committees and voters’ waiting areas to provide a comfortable environment. He also issued instructions for full coordination with the control center of the National Emergency Network and the operating rooms in the centers and cities, to ensure real-time follow-up and provide logistical support around the clock.
The governor called on citizens to participate positively in this national entitlement, stressing the provision of all amenities for the elderly and people of determination, including umbrellas, wheelchairs, and shaded waiting areas to facilitate the voting process.
During his tour, the governor inspected a number of electoral committees, most notably: Al-Malik Al-Kamil Secondary Schools, the Mixed Girls’ Secondary School, the “Ahmed Ghoneim Rashad” Girls’ Secondary School, the Imam Muhammad Metwally Al-Shaarawi School, Shajarat Al-Durr Preparatory School for Girls, the Martyr Khaled Al-Toukhi in Mansoura, the Al-Jihad Joint Primary School in Mit Antar, and the martyr pilot Atef Al-Sharqawi in Talkha.
The governor indicated that the number of electoral headquarters in the governorate is 657, which include 795 subcommittees, in addition to 10 general committees, with a total number of registered voters of 4 million 708 thousand and 301 voters within 10 electoral districts. 288 candidates are competing for 38 seats in the Council, including 21 seats in the individual system and 17 seats reserved for the list.
