In a broad field move aimed at restoring discipline to the educational system, Saeed Attia, Director of the Directorate of Education in Giza, held an expanded meeting with the directors of all educational departments, in the presence of Mohamed Fayez, Undersecretary of the Directorate, and Suhair Abdel Rahman, Undersecretary of the Directorate.
The meeting witnessed the launch of a new “roadmap” for the next stage, based on two main axes: administrative commitment and digital educational development.
Enforce general discipline within the school campus
During the meeting, Attiya stressed the need to impose general discipline within the school campus, directed by a series of deterrent measures, which included the need to rationalize energy by completely shutting down all unused electricity sources, with immediate accountability for violators.
He also directed prohibiting the presence or use of personal electrical appliances (kettles) inside schools, in order to preserve public safety and reduce loads, increase the efficiency of daily cleaning in classrooms and bathrooms, and expand the planting of trees to enhance the cultural and environmental appearance of schools.
The meeting included the technical educational part, where the Director of the Directorate directed the necessity of activating smart boards, and preventing the cornering of technological means and their actual use in explanations to raise the efficiency of students’ understanding.
He stressed the regularity of student attendance, with a special focus on following up on the absence of second-year secondary school students, and taking immediate legal measures against those absent.
The Director of the Directorate of Education in Giza stressed supporting the basic skills of students by developing immediate treatment plans for students with poor reading and writing, while activating the role of the social worker as a basic link.
In a very clear tone, Saeed Attia sent a message to department directors, saying: “The current stage does not accept personal diligence in implementing instructions, and there is no place for “office reports,” and going to the field and real-time follow-up of evaluations in the classroom are the criteria for success.”
The Director of the Directorate concluded by stressing that discipline is the only path, and any failure in implementation will be faced with decisive legal measures that guarantee the stability of the educational process.
