Adel Al-Mishri said in television statements: Helmy Tolan’s statements after the match ended in a draw were no respect for the Kuwaiti national team and no respect for the players.
Al-Mishri added: The Kuwaiti national team participates with players born in 2002 and 2005, most of whom are young players.
Al-Mishri continued: While the Egyptian national team plays with players who have extensive experience and participate with their clubs in continental championships.
Al-Mishri continued: The Kuwaiti national team has a new coach and project, and we are working to give the youth a new opportunity.
Adel Al-Mishri concluded his statements by saying: Helmy Toulan did not respect the Kuwaiti national team, and whoever does not respect the opponent will respond to him on the field.
Helmy Toulan said after the end of the match: We played a one-sided match and created many chances… but we were punished for missing those opportunities.
The Egyptian national team tied with its Kuwaiti counterpart in the first round of the group stage, with a goal for each team, within the Arab Cup competitions held in Qatar.
The Kuwaiti national team took the lead with a goal by Fahd Al-Hajri in the 64th minute, while Mohamed Magdy Afsha equalized from a penalty kick in the 88th minute.
